Effective May 1, 2019, all cats, kittens, and alters shown with a "pending" registration number must provide proof that the cat can be TICA registered to be entered in a show.  (This new rule does not apply to HHPs and HHP kittens.)

  • All cats shown in the Kitten, Championship, and Alter classes must be either TICA registered or, if not yet registered, must be eligible for registration (and proof is required for entry).
  • All cats shown in the Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Trait must provide a TICA registration number when entering a show.
  • Household Pets and Household Pet Kittens do not need to be TICA registered to compete. (No change to existing rules.)

What's Different?

Effective May 1, 2019, when you enter a cat, kitten or alter in a show with a "pending" TICA registration, you must now provide proof that your entry is eligible to be registered in TICA.

You can submit any of the following in order to prove registration eligibility:

  • A copy of your TICA registration application. This can be a screenshot of the ticket for the registration or a copy of the individual registration application.
  • A copy of the TICA Breeder Slip for the cat.
  • A copy of the TICA litter registration for your cat's litter.
  • A copy of the pedigree for your cat issued by a recognized cat association.
  • A copy of the pedigree or registration papers for both the sire and dam of your cat issued by a recognized cat association.
  • A copy of other registration documents for your cat issued by a recognized cat association, indicating the cat's breed.

(One other change: New Trait entries must now provide a TICA registration number when they enter a show; you can no longer enter a New Trait cat in a show with a "pending" registration).

Just enter your cat using the TOES online entry system. When you do so, TOES will prompt you for proof of registration eligibility if you enter a cat with a "pending" registration. Just follow the instructions in TOES; if you have any questions, please contact the entry clerk.

Yes, you can pay at the door. But it'll cost you $25 extra!
All entries not paid in advance (by 10 PM on Monday, February 3) are subject to a $25 late fee

Why? Because collecting entry fees at the door really slows down the check-in process. Also, the club really needs to collect funds up front: most of our expenses must be paid before the show starts.

(The fine print: Any exhibitor whose payment has not been received for any reason by 10pm, Monday, February 3, 2020 will be assessed a $25.00 late fee. Payment at the door will be at the sole discretion of the Entry Clerk, will be subject to the $25.00 late fee, and MUST be paid in cash. No exceptions!)
